I have been a swimming coach for 20 years both in Alabama and North Carolina. I currently coach and manage investment property here in North Carolina.

I initially became interested in wildlife through my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology and an MBA both from Auburn University. Through life’s twists and turns I really didn’t reignite my love for wildlife until I took a trip to Alaska. Since then I found myself planning trips for the type of wildlife and scenery that we might find.

I am lucky that my wife, Colleen, and I live in fantastically beautiful Western North Carolina. We both find ourselves in the woods either on a mountain bike or hiking as much as we can.

We both volunteer for Animal Compassion Network a fostering program for homeless animals. We currently have four permanent dogs and a foster. Yes they do appear on the site :-)
